A solemn call to African Entrepreneurs as I take time to reflect on my journey so far building an ESG consultancy.

Dear Entrepreneur,

It is time we start building our ventures sustainably.

We need to move from the business-as-usual perspective (one that considers only the economic benefit) to a more inclusive, equitable, and sustainable approach (businesses with strong economic, environmental, and social impact foundations).

I am committed to building the next decade of sustainable ventures, sustainable product and service offerings and to ensure our thriving businesses and institutions continue to deliver unique value today while guaranteeing their ability to keep up delivering value in the future.

Just as covid has shown how global catastrophic events can threaten the existence and relevance of industries and businesses, it is way past time we start building climate resilience into our ventures down to the supply chain level. Although Africa contributes less to GHG emissions affecting our climate when compared with other regions, its impacts nonetheless, affect us at destructive levels from severe drought to floods, etc., threatening the very existence of businesses.

As many climate discussions are ongoing globally with little/insignificant action taking place, we have been working hard to enable organizations to take action in accelerating climate action and sustainable business development.

Over the past 12 months, I and my team have been developing tools, refining our processes, and frameworks to help us enable businesses and organizations from different sectors to join the race to accelerate sustainable business development in Africa. We are thrilled and ready for the challenges this opportunity presents.

We are delivering this value through two major instruments;

1. Climatr: A sustainability/ESG consultancy helping African organizations, businesses, and startups to innovate sustainably on their product and service offerings. and;

2. InquMax: An incubator program designed for very early-stage entrepreneurs to support and assist them in building sustainable startups.

Moving forward, I look forward to engaging entrepreneurs, businesses, and organizations interested in advancing sustainability and ESG standards in their organization and supply chain to explore possibilities and uncover latent opportunities that would help you innovate and differentiate your brand.
